Okay so between the manic morning commentary a few comics back and this my bipolar brain is for some reason connecting this FANTASTIC track end with a random thing that’s always been stuck in my brain.
I’ve said since I was a teenager that my last words for better or ill will likely be “…Fuck it. I’m doing it.” I wanted that to be my epitaph for a long time, and now I’ve switched to “Died on every hill” for reasons I don’t understand because I’m actually not very confrontational, I guess because it’s simply the funniest thing I can think of reading on a grave.
Anyways “Let’s make the stupid of today count” really hit, I coughed up some ramen I was eating laughing, and for some reason it reminds me of the stuff above. Can’t wait for more!
I need to let you know this comment made my ENTIRE week.
“Let’s make the stupid of today really count” has really resonated with a lot of people and that makes me so happy. Slightly concerned 😆. But mostly very happy.
But in all seriousness, thank you for your kind words!! They mean so much 💖
Well to throw a few more kind ones you way I love the way you draw Cass.
To start off being crystal clear, there is no “right look” for any identity, we all find our own paths, but Cass looks non binary to me, and that means a lot, but I’ll clarify what I mean cause it’s not aesthetics.
I’m not in Cass’s head, they probably have insecurities and worries and pain, maybe they don’t think of themselves as non binary, but there is such a clear joy in being themselves that radiates out through the art. It’s a feeling that I know and love seeing in others, it just permeates body language and changes expressions when people feel that joy in themselves despite probably still having some dysphoria.
I also recognize the mania fueling those highs in both the story and art, but I think you portray things well enough to see the complex feeling of genuine joy being dialed to high by mania and vice/versa. I see strength from holding on to the parts of themselves they are willing to love both body and mind holding them just high enough to not drown in sad moments, and that’s really insanely hard to get across and I think you’re nailing it.
I just ordered some more shades of my rainbow epoxy and I’m super excited to start doing that wood piece of them to try and give justice to the character in my own way. Just sadly keeps being backburner to getting ready for actual sales shows for both time and materials.
Ok it took me a sec to respond to this although I read it right away, because it was a very special comment to me and I’ll admit I didn’t know how to respond.
This is all very kind of you to say. I’m very honored you recognize these things in the characters. I’m not sure how I got so lucky to have such incredible readers.

Here them out guys, there might also be a plan coming…
Ryn
Bold of you to assume any of these people have a plan coming.
Rateus
I was hoping rather than expecting, ngl.

Cass comes from the “I cannot be outsmarted if I am not smart” school of plan making.
