A Word on Queer Storytelling:

In contrast to narratives that hinge on shame or struggle, Neon Pantheon allows its queer characters to exist freely and fully, as natural and celebrated parts of who they are, without their identities being reduced to plot points or sources of suffering. There is no “queer tragedy” in Neon Pantheon.

A Word on Depictions of Mental Illness:

While the twins’ journey serves as a metaphor for the author’s experience with Bipolar Disorder, their story of self-acceptance resonates across a wide range of self-discovery journeys, offering young adults a powerful and affirming narrative.

A Word to Parents or Readers who Require More Care and Sensitivity:

If you’re a parent/gaurdian or an individual who requires extra care who is concerned about the content warnings, rest assured: nothing in Neon Pantheon is included for shock value, and all sensitive topics are approached with care and intention. If you are a concerned parent or reader that requires a more sensitive approach who would like more information before reading, feel free to reach out to me directly at rynillustrates@gmail.com. To put it in simple terms, there is nothing in Neon Pantheon that would not be in a PG-13 Marvel film.
